A character I was unfamiliar with but curious after seeing a lot of praise. Willow Wilson takes a traditional villain and remakes her into an ecology unto herself who prioritises the natural world at the possible expense of humanity—it’s a fine line that she is happy to walk over; hence ‘villain’, but also hence the quotes. Strongly feminist and does a good job keeping the wider DC universe at bay: this is Ivy’s story.
