Curiously unsatisfying. A great premise, well realised to being with before the show slows down to a crawl for what seems like six of the nine episodes; almost as if they got the go-ahead for a second season and had to stretch some flimsy ideas far too long. Unfortunately the majority of the characters are largely unlikeable, Seehorn (as Carol) and later Vesga (Manousos) particularly guilty—which is a problem given their extremely central roles. Maybe as the audience we were meant to feel their loneliness? It didn’t work, instead it was closer to tedium.
