Strong, but not as near-perfect as the debut season. Widens the scope significantly, spending more time away from the confines of the Severed floor, and suffering a little as a result: the taut strangeness of the office is often absent, replaced by the real world, or a very strange Lumonised facsimile of it. The Walken/Turturro relationship is a highlight, and some misgivings over the diversion into flashback are forgiven in a gripping finale. I would be happy if the story ended here; all the threads felts woven, albeit loosely, and the final shot is remarkable.
